Bridging the gap between mainstream hip-hop and social commentary, Scandinavian rapper and producer Frhetoric (a portmanteau of the name ‘Frederik’ and the word ‘rhetoric’) delivers rapid-fire flows and hard-hitting lyrics that touch on everything from politics to partying, whilst heavy drums and gritty synths form the musical backdrop.

Having recently released a collaboration EP with R&B artist Rawiri James, as well as produced for DnB artist Leah Vee, Frhetoric’s latest EP ‘Piece of Mind’ is a scathing critique of current identity politics, as well as a call for hip-hop to return to its controversial roots rather than simply focus on gang culture and material wealth.
